Breaking Truth – Using breakdancing to think more critically about the dangers of social media

At the end of October we started a collaboration with the Flying Steps Academy and the Flying Steps Education GmbH as part of the project ‘Breaking Truth – Using Breakdance to think more critically about the dangers of social media’ and supported them on their trip to the USA.

With a unique combination of dance and reflection, based on the successful performance ‘Flying Hansel & Gretel’, 6 workshops with a total of 150 children took place in Washington D.C., Houston and Atlanta.

Young people from diverse backgrounds came together to strengthen their media skills through breakdancing and to develop critical thinking skills for using social media.

High Art Bureau supported the project with application, project management and accounting.

The project is funded by the German Foreign Office and implemented with the support of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Washington.
